Indigo Flooring installed reclaimed original face French Railway Oak in herringbone, Narrow random length strip flooring, Versailles Panels & miniature herringbone blocks for the window displays.

The Oak used is some 300 years old, recovered from old French rail cattle cart floors and walls, original face simply means the top face that has worn over time. Displaying all of the original hoof gouges, digs scratches, wood worm holes etc. This cannot be replicated or manufactured and as such it commands a premium price usually upwards of £250.00 per m2.

Finished in a white paste wax this beautiful wood is transformed into a timeless elegant floor that will last another 300 years and not one living tree felled.
